We do not collect any Sensitive Data about you. Sensitive data refers to data that includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data. We do not collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

Where we are required to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of the contract between us and you do not provide us with that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract (for example, to deliver goods or services to you). If you don’t provide us with the requested data, we may have to cancel a product or service you have ordered but if we do, we will notify you at the time.

How long we retain your data

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

When deciding what the correct time is to keep the data for we look at its amount, nature and sensitivity, potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, the processing purposes, if these can be achieved by other means and legal requirements.

For tax purposes the law requires us to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they stop being customers.

In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

It varies according to the information we collect and what it’s used for. In some cases, there are legal requirements to keep data for a minimum period. We’ll only have it for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which the data was collected or for which it is to be further processed (unless there’s a legal reason for us to keep it longer).

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Accessing and Modifying Personal Information and Communication Preferences

If you have registered for the Websites, you may access, review, and make changes to your Personal Information, Billing Information, and certain Other Information by following the instructions found on the Websites. In addition, you may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of any Live A Good Life marketing email. Customers cannot opt out of receiving transactional emails related to their account or their Orders. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to process such requests in a timely manner. Access Data

The Access Data tool allows the Admin to look up a user email and view the data of a particular user. The Admin can download and export the data in a JSON or XML format and provide to the Data Subject if manually requested.

NOTE: This method should not be used without the Data Subject confirming their identity.

Audit Log

Everything the Data Subject does from registration, providing consent to the privacy policy, terms of service and other requests are logged and encrypted in a database. Data breach notifications are also logged to all Data Subjects upon confirmation by Controller.

  1. Using the Data Subject’s email, you can look up and retrieve the user information and display it.
  2. If the Data Subject has been removed from the site, this encrypted log is deleted from the database and saved as an encrypted file inside the plugin folder.

If in the future, the Data Subject makes a complaint or there is a need to recover the data, the user can provide their email address and the 6 digit token they received from the deletion confirmation email to decrypt and retrieve the file.

Data Breach & Notifications

In case of a data breach, the Admin can generate a Data Breach Notification to users by logging the information and confirm the breach through a double opt-in confirmation email. The following information would be recorded in the audit log:

  1. Nature of the personal data breach
  2. Name and contact details of the data protection officer
  3. Likely consequences of the personal data breach
  4. Measures were taken or proposed to be taken

Once the confirmation of the breach has been confirmed via email, the website will begin a batch email notification process to all users every hour until all users receive the notification.

The extension provides with your customers with an automated process to request their personal data removal. Once the account ownership is verified, the extension will anonymise some data (user table date) and delete some date (user meta table).

Any user meta data is deleted. Any user data in the user table is anonymized which means the record remains in the Database and can still be linked with other data by id but no personal data can be retrieved anymore.

Our extension will provide your customers with an automated process of requesting and retrieving their personal data with the following steps:

Step 1. Customer visits a GDPR request form and submits a request by providing their email address.
Step 2. If email is valid and belongs to an existing customer a confirmation email is sent.
Step 3. If the confirmation link is clicked, customer is presented with a confirmation screen and a personal data reports is generated for them.
Step 4. Customer receives their personal data report by email.

Right to Erasure Requests

  1. The Data Subject is able to submit a request to be erased from the site using a shortcode.
  2. When a request is made, the Data Subject will receive an email confirmation to confirm the deletion request.
    1. After email confirmation, the user request is added to the requests table for review by the Administrator. The Administrator can also add a user manually with an email look up and review.
    2. If the Data Subject has content published on the site for any post types or comments, they will be added to this table. If they do not have any content, they will receive a confirmation of erasure request and be provided a 6 digit Token for safekeeping after erasure in case of recover data needs.
    3. The requests table allows the Administrator to reassign any content to another user or delete it.
    4. In the event of comments, the Data Subject’s content would be made anonymous.

  1. Embedded Widgets

Some of our plugins have features to integrate embedded widgets as is, from third party services (like Facebook Like, Facebook Recommend, Twitter Tweet official buttons). It is very likely that these widgets will become GDPR compliant before May 25th.

  1. Third-party APIs/Connections

Our plugins send request to third party APIs via website-visitor’s web browser to fetch information (like social shares, social comment count). This request made by web browser may include IP address, which can then be seen by the third-party that it’s being requested from. This API request doesn’t include any personal data of the website user other than the IP address.  Our plugins run absolutely from website and hence load the scripts too from our website with exception of third-party embedded widgets (like Facebook Like/Recommend official button, Twitter tweet official button, Facebook Comments) which require our plugin to load scripts from the servers of relevant service.

We collect your public profile data only from your consent that you grant before initiating Social Login, from the social network used to login at our website. This data includes your first name, last name, email address, link to your social media profile, unique identifier, link to social profile avatar. This data is used to create your user profile at our website. You can revoke this consent at any time by sending us an email.

We collect information about visitors who comment on Sites that use our Akismet anti-spam service. The information we collect depends on how the User sets up Akismet for the Site, but typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. This data is used to show recent Facebook Comments made all over our website and/or to show the old comments made at non-SSL webpages before we moved our website to SSL. We send the Facebook Comment you post, to page/post author and/or website administrator via automated email, only from your consent that you grant before posting Facebook Comment at our website. This data includes just the  Facebook comment posted by you.

We use GooglePlus Comments widget at our website for you to be able to comment at our webpages using your GooglePlus account. We use Disqus Comments widget at our website for you to be able to comment at our webpages using Disqus commenting system. In saying all of this, we haven’t observed any experiences of advertising based on users conversations with chatbots. In fact, we expect that Facebook will most likely leave it up to the chatbot owners to do this if they want. A lot of people are using chatbots for marketing purposes, so the ability to retarget based on a bots activity is something that we expect to see more of.
